This day would not be possible without God’s grace and mercy. I am so thankful God allowed this opportunity to be a part of His will for me, and my family. This program is one of the finest and most storied programs in the nation. The position of Head Coach at Dalton High School, is one of the most coveted jobs in high school football, and will be treated that way. I am extremely grateful to Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Bartoo and Coach McClurg, for entrusting to me one of the great programs in all of football. The name Catamount is very unique. But, it’s not the mascot that makes this program special. It is the young men and the commitment they make, which differentiates them from just another football team. Discipline, sacrifice, and expectations are the three components which makes these young men, and our student body, winners on the field and off the field, whether in the classroom or in life. The support these young men receive from their parents, the teachers, the student body, the administration and the Quarterback Club is unprecedented. Our commitment, as a staff and as a team, is to honor that support with our effort, our leadership and ultimately our execution. Individually, as the Head Coach, I am beyond humbled and honored to be included in the list of coaches from Alf Anderson to Bill Chappell, Bill McManus to Ronnie McClurg, and most recently Adam Winegarden. As a product of this program, I bring to this job an experience, a lesson learned from each of these great men. Most recently, Coach Winegarden had begun to focus our attention on the complete player, being mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally prepared for the game of life. We will continue these commitments, ensuring that the Dalton High School football program gives back to our parents the best young men possible. Thank you and God Bless!!
